The Spanish jewelry brand Tous has teamed up with Tracemark so that its customers can guarantee the complete traceability of their jewelry, it announced on Thursday.

The project has started with a first collection, Teddy Bear Stars, produced with gold and diamonds, while “both companies are working to extend this collaboration to other references”.

In this first collection, which was launched during the Christmas campaign and will be available again from April in four markets — Spain, Mexico, Portugal and Russia — customers have an alphanumeric code engraved on the jewel or a QR code on the label, through which they can access Tracemark’s interactive and personalized traceability panel.

From that traceability panel they can get information on the origin of the materials, “the manufacturing behind each piece of jewelry and the certifications that guarantee the ethics and sustainability of each piece”, as well as the details on the gold and diamonds.

Tracemark is a startup dedicated to guaranteeing the complete traceability of jewelry pieces and only works with companies certified by the RJC (Responsible Jewellery Council).
