The following paragraphs have been taken from an article published in Forbes magazine, Spanish edition, July-August 2021:

What stands out about this company [Tous] is its commitment to both society and the environment, together with craftsmanship. “In jewelry, having the traceability of pieces will become fundamental to seeing whether each piece complies with sustainability standards and if it is from an ethical and responsible origin” asserts the corporate vice-president of the firm. Being a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council shows Tous’ commitment to transparency on sustainability grounds, as it means working with processes that are ethical, responsible and sustainable. […] Furthermore, through a recent alliance with Tracemark, consumers can now check the origin of Tous’ jewelry items, the materials they are composed of and the certificates they carry though a unique alphanumeric code or QR code which accompanies every jewel, guaranteeing the traceability and origin of each piece.

This pilot project started with a first collection, Teddy Bear Stars, in gold and diamonds, and is available in Spain, Portugal, Russia and Mexico. In the words of Rosa Tous, “the novelty of this collection is the external endorsement which Tracemark brings, ensuring the traceability of each piece and the compliance of each manufacturing process: from the origin of the diamonds used, even indicating the country of origin and mining company, to the use of CoC (Chain of Custody) recycled gold, and the fact we can show the craftsmanship behind the pieces, in this case at Facet Jewellery Solutions, a Pilot Partner Member of Tracemark situated in the ‘Parque Joyero’ in Córdoba, Spain.”
